How to add it to your site

  1. Copy the embed code after choosing your settings.
  2. Paste it into an HTML or embed block, not a normal text block. In WordPress, use a Custom HTML block; in Squarespace, a Code block; in Google Sites, Insert › Embed › Embed code; in Wix, an Embed HTML element. Some website plans restrict embeds, so check your plan if the block is missing or the clock doesn’t appear.
  3. For tools that take a link, such as Notion’s /embed block, select Copy widget link and paste that instead.
  4. Check the size. The widget scales its text to the space it’s given and shrinks on narrow screens. Change the width and height in the code if you need a different shape.

A clock that stays right on its own

The widget shows the current time in the city you choose, using that city’s time zone rules, so it moves to summer time and back on the right dates with no changes from you. Choose Visitor’s local time to show each visitor their own time instead. Pick light or dark colors, or let the widget follow each visitor’s setting.

Private and lightweight

The widget sets no cookies, stores nothing and loads no analytics or advertising. It runs in a sandboxed frame, so it can’t read or change anything on your page. A small WherOra mark inside the widget links to the full world clock.

Is the clock widget free?

Yes. The widget is free for personal, school and business websites, and there is no account to create. Copy the code and paste it into your page.

Does the widget track my visitors?

No. The widget sets no cookies, stores nothing in the browser and loads no analytics. Like any web page, the request to show it reaches our hosting provider, which may keep standard request logs.

Will it show the right time all year?

Yes. The widget uses the visitor’s device clock and each city’s time zone rules, including daylight saving changes, so it switches between standard and summer time on the right dates without any update from you.

Can I remove the link to WherOra?

The text link under the widget is optional: untick “Include a text link” before copying. The small WherOra mark inside the widget stays, so visitors know where the clock comes from.

Why does my site not show the widget?

Some website builders only allow embeds in a dedicated HTML or embed block, and some strip the iframe tag in a normal text block. Paste the code into an HTML, code or embed block. Some plans, such as lower WordPress.com and Squarespace plans, don’t allow embedded frames at all. For tools that accept a link instead of code, such as Notion, use Copy widget link.
