Eastern Time covers the US East Coast, most of Indiana, Michigan and Ohio, and Ontario and Quebec in Canada. Panama, Jamaica and Cancún use EST all year, with no daylight saving.
Pacific Time covers California, Washington, Oregon and Nevada in the US. British Columbia used it until 2026, but since November 2026 it stays on UTC−7 all year, an hour ahead of Los Angeles in winter. Arizona also stays on UTC−7 (MST) all year, so in summer both show the same time as PDT.
